Maravilha! Bravissimo! Saudades muitas do meu querido amigo e colega dos tempos da Fafil em Bauru.. Fundamos o coral... E como vc regia!! Tinha um dom inato. Levantava a freirinha " "Zinha ", lá no alto e ela descia como um balão, abrindo o hábito em paraquedas, vermelha como tomate.... 😂 Lembra...?!! Chegava no Campus gritando e me chamando - Bel!!!!... Bellll!! .... Belllll !!!!! E lá íamos nós, conversar e fofocas em um cantinho qualquer .... e lá ficávamos, até o.inicio das aulas... Eu trabalhava na Biblioteca... Saudades muitas, nesmo. 👏👏👏🥰🥰❤️

Opera meravigliosa! libretto, musica e finale FANTASTICI!

In celebrating the Pesach, the Hebrew tradition aims to make one feel ‘as if we were there’. I think that’s also what happens here. Perhaps knowing that it is based on fact adds to its impact. I first saw this opera more than fifty years ago, and this scene still moves me to tears. After a brilliantly written, brilliantly staged scene in a brilliant opera which deserves the highest praise, it feels-somehow-sacrilegious to applaud.

Wow ! Amazing direction ! Some people argue about this being ( or not) the Most Dramatic and moving Final scene in all Opera , let' s simply think that : This out a terrible TRUE story and we assist at the execution of 16 innocent nuns ...and the LOVE at stake..its the Love of GOD and not any human romantic relationship .

Opera Australia did this (Aust. Opera then) and I was overwhelmed. The sound of the blade coming down was awful but so evocative. Wonderful

Saw this recently at the opera house and man was the theatre filled with intense emotion, many people crying in silence.

This is the most powerful, haunting, and frightful scenes in all of opera. I have seen Dialogues of the Carmelites in a production of the Juilliard School and at the Metropolitan Opera. This last scene is like nothing I have ever experienced. The beauty and mystery of Salve Regina is perfectly captured by Poulenc. Great music to express great tragedy and drama.

I don't understand a word - let the music speak! I appreciate this decision. Although Dvořák was Czech, I'm not sure if this was ment to be the "authentic" language version. I'd rather guess, for Mr. Dvořák it would have been ok to translate it to any language?
